My boyfriend wanted to toss an old pair of jeans. And because he is awesome und he knows that I like to rescue zippers and other stuff from old clothes, he gave it to me.
Als der RV dann befreit war, habe ich es einfach nicht übers Herz gebracht, die Hose in den Müll zu tun. Da war noch so viel Material dran, das war echt zu schade, um es wegzuwerfen.
When the zipper was freed, I just couldn't throw away the remainder. There was still so much material left, it would have been a pity to just toss it.
Also habe ich die Hosenbeine abgeschnitten und sie mit drei Nähten in Utensilos verwandelt.
So I cut off the legs and turned them into fabric bins with three seams.
Weil aber immer noch zu viel Hose übrig war, habe ich noch mal zwei Stücke Hosenbein abgeschnitten und das Prozedere wiederholt. Diese habe ich oben mit rotem Schrägband versäubert. Passt ganz gut in unser Wohnzimmer.
But there was still much left of the pants, so I cut off two more pieces and repeated everything. This time, I added bias tape to the upper edge.
Die Geschichte hat mich pro Teil keine 20 Minuten gekostet. Ein schnelles, praktisches Projekt also, anfängertauglich und stoffvernichtend.
All in all, the whole thing didn't even take 20 minutes per piece. Thus, it's a quick and practical project. It is also suitable for beginners and a good stash-busting project.
